Kennel!!!! Folly Hill Kennel has been breeding quality Labrador
Retrievers for the field and family since 1990 and we have been breeding
Border Terriers since 1999.
Our Labrador Retrievers
are all bred from proven quality hunting families from the United States
and England. We imported our first bitch for breeding from Basswood
Labradors in England in 1991. We have continued our tradition of using
carefully selected English imports in many of our breedings. Our bitches
from American lineage come from quality Field Trial, Hunt Test and
Hunting families. All of our breeding bitches are working hunting dogs,
household companions and have classic Labrador looks. They are all OFA
certified or PennHip screened and have CERF clearances. All puppies are
sold with guarantees. We breed both black and yellow Labradors. Since we
have been breeding from the same families for several generations we
know that the genetics are clean and the temperaments of all of our
puppies are sound. We strive to use only titled stud dogs of sound
temperament, good genetics and quality conformation and looks.
Through the years our
puppies have gone to homes from California to Texas to Florida to
Pennsylvania to Minnesota and of course many stay right here in
Kentucky. They have been used for hunting dogs and companions, agility,
AKC and UKC hunt tests, AKC Field Trials, and of course many are simply
the best companions a family could ask for. Photos and comments from

Recently we have begun
breeding Border Terriers. We found several of our Labrador clients or
would be clients were looking for a Labrador type dog in personality,
but wanted a smaller package. The Border Terrier fits the bill! These
little guys are full of personality and are wonderful family companions,
but don’t think that because they are small they don’t need a lot of
exercise and room to romp. Like Labradors they need a lot of time
outside to run and play and plenty of attention.
Like our Labradors, our
Border Terriers are carefully bred to be temperamentally and physically
sound as well as good looking. Our first breeding bitch was imported
from England in 1999 and since then we have imported another and begun
to use our own homebreds for breeding purposes. Our intention is to get
these puppies into the show ring and earthdog trials as soon as time
permits.
Future homes for both
Labradors and Border Terriers are carefully screened. So if you inquire
about puppies you should be prepared for the third degree! We do require
deposits to secure puppies from future litters. Occasionally puppies may
be available at the time of inquiry, but most are pre-sold and we only
breed once we have sufficient number of deposits to warrant breeding.
